Graduating DNHS senior Daryl Wiggins received a full scholarship to New Mexico Military Institute to play football. He was honored as one of the top 10 New Mexico Multi-Sport Athletes for the 2013/2014 season at the New Mexico Sports Hall of Fame Banquet. While he was honored for his football, basketball and track record, some of his football accomplishments include:
- Albuquerque 4A Metro Player of the Year
- District 5- 4AAAA Offensive Player of the Year
- 1st team 5A/ 4A NMAA North/ South All Star game
- NM High School Coaches Association 1st team All State
- 2,000 rushing record at Del Norte
