DNHS alumni Brandon Back, head coach of the La Cueva football team, will be coaching his second seeded La Cueva team when they play Manzano at 1 p.m. at Wilson Stadium for the Class 6A state football championship this Saturday, December 2, 2017. Brandon is a 1995 Del Norte graduate and attended college at Wayland Baptist. Before being named head coach in 2013, he was La Cueva’s defensive backs and receivers coach under coach Ed Lucero whom he played for on Del Norte’s JV team. Brandon also played varsity for then-Del Norte head coach David Williams.
