student Lydia Nelson will sing the National Anthem at the November 19, 2014 APS Board meeting where she will be recognized for her recent accomplishments. Lydia was named to the 2014 All-National Mixed Choir Honor Ensemble sponsored by the National Association for Music Education. She joined 350 talented and skilled high school vocalists who performed on the stage of the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, Tenn., on Oct. 29. The AlumKnights donated $250 towards Lydia’s travel expenses to Nashville.
