The Albuquerque Journal has ranked Del Norte Number 9 in their preseason metro top-10. The Knights were 5-6 last year and won District 2-5A. This year they intend to win a playoff game, something they haven’t done since 1997.
Senior Danta Mora, a transfer from NMMI, is the new quarterback with a potent backfield consisting of backs Avery See and Parker Anderson, the Knights have high hopes. The team has significant size for a 5A team. Coach Bruce Binkley is quoted as saying “We are not small”.
